Job Summary:



We are seeking an experienced and proactive

Regional Manager - South India

to oversee business development, sales operations, and customer support across the southern region. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive experience in

B2B/B2G sales

, and a deep understanding of the

government procurement ecosystem

, especially

Forest, Fisheries, and Defence Departments

.
The role involves driving sales growth, managing pre- and post-sales activities, coordinating logistics and service operations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective regional leadership.

Key Responsibilities:



Business Development & Sales:



Identify and develop new business opportunities across

Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana

. Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Build strong relationships with key government departments, PSUs, and private organizations. Lead client meetings, technical presentations, product demos, and negotiations. Submit proposals, quotations, and tenders in coordination with the central team. Ensure follow-up on billing, collection, and payment closure.

Pre-Sales & Post-Sales Support:



Provide

technical pre-sales support

, product training, and demonstrations to customers and channel partners. Ensure effective

post-sales service

, including installation, training, and after-sales coordination. Act as the

regional escalation point

for service-related issues and ensure timely resolution with HQ service teams.

Tendering & Documentation:



Well-versed in

e-tendering, GEM portal processes

, and government procurement documentation. Coordinate with the HQ tendering team for bid preparation, MAFs, compliance documents, and follow-ups.

Regional Operations & Coordination:



Maintain and monitor

regional stock, demo materials, and consignment inventories

. Coordinate with

HQ logistics and service center

for dispatches, deliveries, and customer support activities. Supervise and support field executives and service engineers within the region.

Reporting & Market Intelligence:



Prepare and present

weekly and monthly sales performance reports

to senior management. Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to support strategic planning. Participate in regional

exhibitions, trade shows, and marketing events

.

Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in

Business, Engineering, or related field

; MBA preferred.

5-10 years

of experience in

technical or equipment-based B2B/B2G sales

. Strong background in dealing with

government departments (Forest, Fisheries, Defence, PWD, etc.)

. Proficient in

e-procurement systems

, tendering, and GEM portal management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple teams and ensure inter-departmental coordination. Proficiency in

English& Hindi and at least one South Indian language (Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada or Telugu)

. Willingness to travel extensively across the southern region.
