We are looking for an experienced and driven Regional Manager to lead our commercial lending efforts in a key region. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of working capital products, strong business development acumen, and proven leadership in acquiring and managing mid-market and SME clients.The ideal candidate will be responsible for building a high-performing team, driving regional growth, and expanding our footprint in the commercial lending space. You will play a crucial role in offering financial solutions that support businesses in optimizing their working capital and unlocking growth.Key Responsibilities:

  • Regional Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a regional plan to grow the commercial lending portfolio, with a focus on working capital products such as invoice discounting, cash credit, overdraft facilities, and short-term loans.
  • Client Acquisition: Lead efforts to acquire new mid-sized and large clients through direct sales, channel partners, referrals, and strategic outreach. Drive revenue growth through new client onboarding and cross-sell initiatives.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of commercial clients ensuring timely renewals, healthy asset quality, and minimal delinquencies. Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a team of relationship managers and business development executives to achieve sales and operational targets. Set clear KPIs, conduct regular reviews, and provide guidance to ensure high productivity.
  • Relationship Management: Act as the senior point of contact for key clients in the region. Understand client needs and tailor financial solutions accordingly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of regional market trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory changes. Leverage insights to adapt and optimize regional business development strategies.
  • Compliance & Risk: Ensure adherence to credit policies, risk guidelines, and regulatory frameworks. Work closely with credit and risk teams to ensure high-quality loan origination and underwriting standards.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal teams including credit, operations, legal, and compliance to ensure smooth end-to-end service delivery for clients.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial lending, banking, or NBFCs with a strong focus on working capital finance and client acquisition.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business, managing lending portfolios, and meeting revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of working capital finance products, credit underwriting, and risk assessment.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to drive results through people.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach.
  • MBA/CA or relevant degree in finance, banking, or business is preferred.
