Position Overview


The Regional Manager - Cross Border will be responsible for driving revenue, market expansion, and operational excellence for Blue Dart's cross-border logistics products in the assigned region. This role focuses on expanding Express, Forwarding, and Deferred solutions while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. The incumbent will manage regional sales pipelines, develop strategic partnerships, and enhance service offerings to meet the needs of e-commerce, SME, and multinational customers engaged in international shipping.

Job Purpose


To deliver regional revenue and market share growth for cross-border logistics solutions by implementing the national strategy at a regional level, optimizing transit times, ensuring trade compliance, and driving customer satisfaction. This role will balance strategic business development with hands-on operational coordination to strengthen Blue Dart's international logistics footprint in the region.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Regional Revenue & Growth Delivery:

Achieve and exceed regional revenue and profitability targets for cross-border products. Drive pipeline growth by identifying new opportunities across Express, Freight Forwarding, and Deferred international logistics solutions. Implement pricing strategies aligned with market conditions and cost structures to maintain competitiveness.

Product Implementation & Service Expansion:

Execute the cross-border product roadmap at the regional level, adapting to local customer needs. Introduce new trade lanes, value-added services, and digital tools to improve customer experience. Coordinate with operations to ensure optimal transit times and customs clearance processes.

Market Development & Competitive Positioning:

Monitor global trade developments, regulatory changes, and competitive activities affecting regional performance. Identify niche market opportunities in e-commerce, export hubs, and high-potential SME clusters.

Customer Engagement & Service Quality:

Build strong relationships with key accounts, understanding their cross-border shipping requirements and pain points. Ensure high NPS and CSAT scores by resolving escalations promptly and improving service quality.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work with marketing, finance, operations, and IT teams to launch initiatives and campaigns supporting cross-border growth. Partner with global DHL teams, customs authorities, and regional hubs to streamline cross-border processes.

Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure 100% adherence to international trade regulations, customs laws, and data protection requirements. Conduct regular compliance checks for all partner and vendor processes.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Graduate degree in Business, International Trade, or Supply Chain. MBA/PGDM preferred. Certifications in International Trade Regulations, Logistics, or Project Management are an advantage.

Experience:

8-12 years in cross-border logistics, freight forwarding, or international product management. Proven track record in driving revenue growth and managing complex international shipping operations. Experience working with global trade compliance, multi-modal logistics, and customs clearance processes.

Skills & Capabilities

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of cross-border logistics solutions, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance. Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, cost management, and product positioning. Proficiency in using CRM tools, logistics platforms, and data analytics for performance tracking.

Global perspective with regional market insight. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Analytical and strategic thinking with execution focus. Ability to lead teams and manage geographically dispersed stakeholders.
