is responsible for leading and overseeing all project activities within a specific region. This role involves managing multiple large-scale projects, ensuring their successful completion on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Regional Head will lead project managers and teams, manage client relationships, and ensure that regional project goals are aligned with the overall company strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
Lead the planning, implementation, and completion of all projects within the assigned region.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve regional project goals and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
Provide leadership and guidance to project managers, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
Project Management:
Oversee the entire lifecycle of projects from initiation to completion, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to agreed-upon specifications and standards.
Monitor progress and performance of multiple projects and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for high-level clients and stakeholders in the region.
Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring that expectations are met and issues are resolved promptly.
Facilitate regular meetings and communication with clients, keeping them updated on project status and addressing any concerns.
Team Development and Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers and other project professionals.
Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the regional project teams.
Identify training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Budgeting and Financial Oversight:
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
Monitor project financials, including tracking expenditures, revenue forecasting, and cost control measures.
Report financial performance and variances to senior management.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Identify and mitigate risks across all projects to minimize impact on timelines, budgets, and quality.
Ensure that all projects comply with legal, safety, and environmental regulations.
Implement and maintain standardized project management processes and tools across the region.
Reporting and Communication:
Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, including status reports, key milestones, risks, and performance metrics.
Prepare and present project reviews, identifying successes, challenges, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Ensure effective communication between regional offices, project teams, and other company departments.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field.
A master's degree or PMP/PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
Experience:
12-15 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple projects across a region or portfolio.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, large-scale projects.
Experience in construction, real estate, interior design, or related industries is highly preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide large teams.
Excellent financial and budgeting skills, with a focus on cost control and profitability.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle complex project challenges.
Other Requirements:
Ability to travel extensively within the region as required.
Strong understanding of local regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
