Key Responsibilities





:



1. Machine Operation & Management:Set up, operate, monitor, and perform first-line troubleshooting on SEMCO battery processing machinery (e.g., sorting, testing, or formation equipment). Ensure the SEMCO line operates at optimal efficiency, achieving daily throughput and quality targets. Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and minor repairs on the equipment to minimize downtime. Maintain detailed logs of machine performance, parameters, and any deviations.

2. Cell Grading & Sorting:Perform detailed incoming inspection, testing, and grading of end-of-life lithium-ion cells (cylindrical, prismatic, pouch) based on key parameters including: Capacity and Internal Resistance (IR) Self-Discharge Rate Voltage and Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) Physical condition (swelling, leakage, corrosion) Utilize testing equipment and data analysis software to categorize cells into A, B, C grades or similar for second-life use, recycling, or disposal. Make critical decisions on the viability of cells for refurbishment.

3. Process Execution & Quality Control:Execute the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the entire refurbishment line with a high degree of precision. Maintain strict adherence to quality control protocols to ensure the safety and reliability of graded battery packs. Identify and isolate defective, unstable, or potentially hazardous cells safely and promptly. Document all test results, grading decisions, and process data accurately in the company's MES (Manufacturing Execution System) or database.

4. Safety & Compliance:Strictly follow all company safety guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Handle lithium-ion batteries with the utmost care, adhering to all protocols for preventing short circuits, thermal events, and other hazards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe (5S) work environment. Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.

5. Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:Work closely with the disassembly, pack building, and quality assurance teams to ensure a seamless workflow. Provide feedback to engineering and management for process optimization and improvement. Train and mentor junior technicians on grading standards and machine operation.

Qualification & Experience





:



ITI (Electrician) or Diploma in Electrical or or Any Equivalent Branch of Electrical Engineering) 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a lithium-ion battery manufacturing, testing, recycling, or refurbishment environment. Must have direct, practical experience in operating and troubleshooting SEMCO machinery or Other Similar Grading Machines. Must have proven experience in handling Li-ion Battery packs with expertise in the grading and sorting of lithium-ion cells using automated and manual testing equipment. Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery chemistry, performance characteristics, and failure modes. Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, LCR meters, battery cyclers).

Skills & Competencies





Data-driven mindset with basic proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., MS Excel, specific MES software). Candidate must have Working Knowledge of MS Excel. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. High level of responsibility and a strong commitment to safety.
