Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Collect and weigh scrap, dust, and discarded jewelry from all stages of production and marketing.

Recover precious metals (gold and diamond) from collected materials using specialized refining processes.

Purify metals to meet quality standards for diamond jewelry, ensuring minimum impurities, no color streaks, and maximum ductility.

Convert refined metal into alloys as required for different jewelry products and record proportions and weights in detailed job sheets.

Operate refining units and furnaces, handle chemicals (ferrous sulphate, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, borax, etc.), and adhere to stringent safety standards.

Deliver refined alloys and metals to stores or production departments on schedule, ensuring proper documentation of recovered quantities.

Maintain accurate logs of input and output at each stage, and support periodic audits and loss checks to minimize precious metal losses below prescribed standards.

Report equipment malfunctions, chemical hazards, and process disruptions promptly to supervisors.

Collaborate with production, quality control, and accounts teams to support end-to-end traceability of all refined materials.

Achieve purity benchmarks (99.99% for gold), comply with industry protocols, and support continuous process improvement and innovative refining methods.

Required Skills & Qualities

Deep technical understanding of precious metal refining, alloy making, and safety protocols.

Ability to handle chemicals and refining equipment safely and efficiently, minimizing environmental impact.

Strong attention to detail, reliability in recordkeeping, and ability to solve process problems.

Good teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with multiple departments. Commitment to quality, safety, and timely delivery of refined materials for further processing into diamond jewelry.

Qualification: B.Sc(Chem) or M.Sc(Chem)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
