We are looking to hire a Recyclability Technologist for our Global Packaging team based in Mumbai. Role Purpose: To manage operational programmes needed to achieve 100% technical recyclability in flexible packaging in 2025. Accountability In scope: all flexible packaging formats - sachet, pouch, flow wraps as appropriate

  • Work closely with category leads, to identify key challenge areas, and technical unlocks needed
  • Development of technical solutions and providing support for initial implementation by categories
  • Develop cost reduction programmes for key formats
  • Run technical trialling programme, associated technical testing and assessment of performance
  • Development of test methods for paper based flexibles.
  • Maintain good data access and results within appropriate systems
  • Support categories to drive solutions into the business and support problem solving needs
  • Improve functional properties of proposed solutions, to unlock recyclable materials application across challenging rigid formats
  • Engage in partnerships across the value chain
  • Work closely with Procurement on implications of technical proposals
All about you, what you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to succeed
  • 5-7 years experience in paper based flexible packaging in FMCG or converting industry.
  • Masters in Packaging, Chemical or Polymer Technology
  • Good packaging materials understanding
  • Understanding of packaging conversion technologies
  • Experience of running packaging material trials
  • Ability to perform technical tests and to interpret results
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to utilise required digital support systems (AWS, LIMS,CLM, Patbase etc)
  • Ability to work on patents search, prior arts analysis and filing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with external suppliers and partners
  • Good networking skills
  • Ability to work across time zones and in multicultural setting
