As part of our growing international recruitment operations, we are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Recruitment Consultant to specialize in placing locum nurses and doctors with NHS and private healthcare clients in the United Kingdom.

Role Overview

This position offers a unique opportunity to manage the full recruitment cycle for UK locum nurse and doctor placements--from candidate sourcing to shift coordination. You'll be working closely with our UK team and client base to meet critical short-term staffing demands, ensuring high-quality service delivery and candidate care.

Key Responsibilities

Source and engage with qualified nursing professionals through job boards, databases, social media, and referrals. Reconnect and activate candidates from existing talent pools for urgent locum requirements. Understand specific client needs and match suitable candidates to relevant roles within required timelines. Coordinate shifts and maintain clear communication with UK medical staffing teams regarding availability, bookings, and changes. Ensure all candidates meet UK healthcare compliance standards by collecting and verifying documents including references, training, certifications, and background checks. Monitor document expirations and ensure timely renewals to maintain up-to-date and audit-ready files. Manage and update records using CRM and compliance systems accurately. Maintain strong relationships with nurses to encourage long-term collaboration and increased shift fulfillment. Proactively work toward monthly targets related to placements, shift bookings, and candidate onboarding.

What We're Looking For

2+ years of experience in UK healthcare recruitment (locum experience preferred). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindset. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure. Confident, professional approach to both candidate and client interactions. Graduation in any stream; background in HR or healthcare is a plus.
