The Role
As our Farm Talent Acquisition Specialist, you'll be the driving force behind building our team. You'll own the full recruitment process, from defining roles and writing job descriptions to sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and ensuring each hire is a strong cultural and performance fit. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, think creatively to find talent in non-traditional channels, and bring a "make-it-happen" attitude to everything you do.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing
Partner with leadership to define hiring needs across farm operations, management, internships, and seasonal staff.
Develop creative sourcing strategies using local colleges, job boards, social media, community groups, and farming networks.
Proactively identify and engage high-quality passive candidates who fit our mission and culture.
Build and maintain a strong, ongoing pipeline of A+ candidates for current and future roles.
Interviewing
Screen applicants and coordinate interview scheduling.
Lead interviews with clarity, professionalism, and a positive candidate experience.
Conduct reference checks and verify relevant experience.
Communicate clearly with candidates throughout the entire process.
HR & Onboarding
Manage onboarding logistics and ensure new hires feel welcomed and prepared.
Maintain organized hiring dashboards, reports, and employee documentation.
Handle regular HR tasks such as record-keeping, paperwork, and coordinating employee information.
Refine and improve recruitment and HR processes to increase efficiency and overall team experience.
What We're Looking For
A+ recruiter mindset: resourceful, proactive, persistent, and creative in finding great people.
3+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR, ideally with exposure to agriculture, hospitality, or event operations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to connect with people at all levels.
Excellent organization and follow-through.
Comfortable using modern recruiting tools (LinkedIn, Indeed, Google Sheets, Airtable, etc.).
Passion for community, sustainability, and the farming lifestyle is a plus.
