Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Reconciliation Specialist with strong exposure to hedge fund operations and fund administration. The ideal candidate will take ownership of daily reconciliation processes, ensure accurate fund accounting, and lead a small team to meet SLAs and operational standards. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations between Client, Administrator, and Prime Broker data.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash, positions, OTE, and trades.
Coordinate with external stakeholders including clients, brokers, and prime brokers for timely resolution of breaks.
Interact regularly with Portfolio Managers and Prime Brokers via calls and emails to address fund queries.
Supervise and guide team members on break resolution and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Conduct UAT testing for new functionalities and provide feedback to enhance process efficiency.
Ensure adherence to SLA targets and assist the manager in performance monitoring.
Prepare and review MIS reports and ensure data accuracy.
Train and mentor new joiners and contribute to overall team development.
Support and drive process improvement initiatives and automation wherever possible. Required Skills & Qualifications:
MBA (Finance) or equivalent with 2+ years of reconciliation experience in Fund Administration or Hedge Fund Operations.
Strong understanding of the product life cycle for exchange-traded (futures, options) and OTC products (TRS, CDS, IRS, Equity Swaps).
Hands-on experience with MS Excel and its advanced functions; VBA/macros knowledge preferred.
Working knowledge of account postings and general ledger systems familiarity with VPM or Geneva is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Good to Have:
Experience in process automation and workflow optimization.
Exposure to process documentation and control frameworks.
Experience in preparing management reports (MIS) and supporting audits.
