The Gym Administrator is responsible for managing the daily administrative and operational functions of the gym. This role ensures excellent customer service, efficient facility management, and supports staff coordination to maintain a positive member experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
Greet and assist gym members and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
Manage membership registrations, renewals, and payment processing.
Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and schedule appointments or classes.
Maintain accurate records of memberships, attendance, and financial transactions.
Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are upheld throughout the facility.
Coordinate maintenance and repair of gym equipment and facilities.
Support hiring, training, and scheduling of gym staff.
Handle member inquiries, feedback, and resolve complaints promptly.
Assist in promoting gym services, classes, and membership drives.
Prepare reports on gym operations and performance as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous experience in administrative or customer service roles, ideally in a fitness or hospitality environment.
Proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Office) and gym management software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and cash handling.
