Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner
Answer and direct phone calls using a multi-line phone system
Schedule and confirm patient appointments
Register patients and update their personal and insurance information in the system
Check patients in and out
Verify insurance coverage and collect co-payments when necessary
Maintain a clean and organized front-desk and waiting area
Coordinate patient flow with nurses and other medical staff
Manage incoming/outgoing mail, faxes, and emails
Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information
Ensure confidentiality by following HIPAA and hospital policies
Perform other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical office (preferred)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in computer systems and basic office software
Knowledge of medical terminology (a plus)
