As a Hospital Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a welcoming and efficient experience. You will be responsible for handling a variety of administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, and supporting the overall patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient records.
Verify patient information and process admissions and discharges.
Coordinate with medical staff and departments to facilitate patient flow.
Handle billing and insurance inquiries, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Address patient concerns and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member.
Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus.
Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in computer applications and medical office software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
