Receptionist (Hospital) - Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction
Greet patients, visitors, and attendants in a polite and professional manner.
Assist patients with registration and documentation processes.
Provide information about hospital services, departments, and procedures.
Schedule appointments and follow up on patient visits.
Administrative Duties
Maintain patient records and update files regularly.
Handle phone calls, emails, and other communication channels.
Ensure proper filing, data entry, and retrieval of information.
Manage billing inquiries and help with insurance documentation as needed.
Coordination
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure smooth patient care.
Communicate important information to the relevant departments.
Arrange patient referrals, lab tests, or specialist consultations.
Customer Service
Address patient concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism.
Ensure a calm and supportive environment for patients and their families.
Provide assistance in emergency situations by directing patients and guiding them appropriately.
Compliance & Confidentiality
Ensure patient privacy and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and health regulations.
General Support
Monitor waiting areas to ensure they are clean, organized, and welcoming.
Handle minor administrative tasks like ordering supplies or managing schedules.
Support other staff during peak hours or as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
