Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and empathetic manner
Manage patient registration, appointment scheduling, and check-in/check-out procedures
Verify patient details, insurance information, and referral documents
Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries; route calls to appropriate departments
Maintain and update patient records in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) or EMR software
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff for smooth patient flow
Collect fees, generate receipts, and manage billing-related documentation as required
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient confidentiality, and HIPAA standards
Manage waiting areas to ensure cleanliness, comfort, and orderly patient flow
Handle patient concerns or complaints calmly and escalate when necessary
Required Skills & Qualifications
2-3 years of experience as a receptionist or front-office executive in a hospital or healthcare facility
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in healthcare administration is a plus
Familiarity with hospital procedures, medical terminology, and insurance processes
Proficiency in MS Office and hospital management software
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment
