Dental Receptionist

for our office--someone who can help make every patient feel welcome, valued, and well cared for from the moment they walk in.

Position Overview:



The Dental Center Receptionist is the first point of contact for all patients and visitors. This crucial role is responsible for creating a welcoming and organized environment, managing patient flow, and performing various administrative tasks essential for the smooth operation of the dental practice. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and a strong commitment to patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities



Patient Engagement:

Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression.

Scheduling:

Manage the appointment schedule efficiently, booking, canceling, and rescheduling appointments, and ensuring optimal patient flow to minimize wait times.

Administrative Duties:

Answer, screen, and direct phone calls; manage and organize patient records (both paper and electronic); process incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence.

Check-in/Check-out:

Accurately verify patient information, collect necessary forms, process patient payments (co-pays, balances), and issue receipts.

Billing/Insurance:

Assist with verifying patient insurance coverage, inputting insurance data, and processing basic billing documentation.

Office Maintenance:

Ensure the reception and waiting areas are tidy, presentable, and well-stocked with necessary forms and information.

Communication:

Serve as the primary communication link between patients and dental staff (dentists, hygienists, assistants).

Qualifications and Requirements



Gender Preference:

Female preferred.

Experience:

Proven work experience as a Receptionist or in a similar customer-facing administrative role, preferably within a fast-paced office environment.

Background:

Previous experience in a

healthcare, medical, or dental setting is highly preferred.

Familiarity with dental terminology and scheduling software is a significant asset.

Personality:

Must possess a

pleasing personality

--warm, empathetic, patient, and professional with excellent verbal communication skills.

Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office equipment (printers, scanners). Experience with practice management or electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).

Education



High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certification or training in office administration or medical/dental front office is a plus.

Work Environment



This is a full-time position requiring consistent hours during the dental center's operating schedule.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
