Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Analyze financial data, general ledger accounts, and journal entries to identify discrepancies.
Reconciliation:
Oversee and perform account and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and maintain the general ledger.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with accounting principles (like GAAP) and tax regulations. Support internal and external audits.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Process Improvement:
Develop and document accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls.
Team Leadership:
Train, mentor, and supervise junior accounting staff.
Financial Management:
Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation, review inter-company transactions, and handle accounts payable and receivable.
Required skills and qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is typically required. A Master's degree or CPA certification is often preferred.
Experience:
Several years of accounting experience, with a proven track record in areas like financial statement preparation, analysis, and audits.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables) and various accounting software is essential.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are crucial. Excellent written and oral communication, attention to detail, and leadership abilities are also necessary.
