Job Title:

Reader - Public Health Dentistry

Qualifications:

MDS in Public Health Dentistry (or equivalent) Minimum

4 years

of teaching experience in Public Health Dentistry after post-graduation (as required by Dental Council of India).

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Reader in Public Health Dentistry who will teach, mentor students, conduct research, and lead community oral health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students (lectures, seminars, practicals) Supervise MDS students' thesis/dissertations Design and conduct research in public health dentistry and publish in peer-reviewed journals Lead community outreach programs (dental camps, school health, awareness drives) Collaborate with public health bodies, NGOs, and government agencies Serve on departmental committees and contribute to curriculum development

Skills & Attributes:

Strong background in epidemiology, preventive dentistry, and oral health promotion Research-oriented with good grant-writing ability Excellent communication and teaching skills Ability to work in community and field settings Leadership and mentoring capabilities
