About Purple Tutor

Purple Tutor is a company started by IIT Bombay alumni with a view to give kids a better future and make them ready for the jobs of tomorrow. We are an online platform that teaches computational thinking/computer science to kids. As per research from world-renowned institutes such as MIT, Harvard, Tufts, etc., if the concepts of computer science are introduced to kids early on in their lives, then they become sharper on logical reasoning, algorithmic thinking, creativity, etc.

We are a coding company for kids that ensures that children have the skills required for a successful future. We cater to kids from grades 1 to 10 and empower them to use technology. We are a creative company, a practical company, and we believe in taking decisions and implementing them in the next hour. We believe in moving fast and getting things done fast.

About the work from home job/internship

Responsibilities

Ability to translate Wireframes / Designs into functional web apps using HTML5, React.js, Redux

Knowledge of Node.js and MySQL is a definite plus

Binding of UI elements to JavaScript object models

Work in a cross-functional team to deliver a complete user experience

Attention to details and obsession about building something exceptional

Ability to work independently

Create Unit and Integration tests to ensure the quality of code

Be responsive to change requests and feature requests

Write code that is cross-platform and cross-device compatible

Ability to wear many hats and learn new technologies quickly
