We're looking for a React UI Developer who can step into a leadership role--working hand-in-hand with UI/UX designers and internal frontend developers to implement and uphold our design philosophy.

Role Summary:

As Team Lead for UI Development, you will own the translation of design systems and visual concepts into pixel-perfect, high-performance React applications. You'll mentor internal UI developers, align with designers on UX standards, and ensure the team consistently delivers on design intent, responsiveness, accessibility, and component reuse.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a small UI team: assign tasks, review code, coach developers, ensure consistency and quality. Translate Figma/Sketch/Adobe XD design files into working React components and pages. Set and enforce our design-system implementation: component library, CSS-in-JS or utility approach (e.g., Tailwind), responsive breakpoints, design tokens, accessibility (WCAG). Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend engineers to integrate front-end with APIs and align on interaction patterns. Review, optimize and refactor existing UI components for performance, maintainability and scalability. Establish code review and QA workflows for the UI team: peer review, linting, storybook documentation. Champion best practices in front-end development: React hooks, Context/Redux, lazy loading, code-splitting, browser support, cross-device responsiveness. Ensure readiness for immediate start and ability to hit the ground running within 15 days.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years experience in React JS (and ideally TypeScript) with a strong UI focus (design ? code). Proven experience working closely with designers to implement high-fidelity UIs and design systems. Prior experience mentoring or leading a small frontend/UI team. Deep knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid), modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Styled Components) and responsive/adaptive design. Experience with component libraries, Storybook, UI testing (Jest/RTL) and UI performance optimization. Exceptional communication skills, strong attention to design detail, and a sense of ownership. Able to join immediately and lead UI efforts today.

Nice to Have:

Experience with UI/UX tools (Figma, Sketch) and design hand-off workflows. Familiarity with frontend build tooling (Vite, Webpack), CI/CD, linting setups. Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG), cross-browser issues and performance budgets. Experience with remote team leadership and distributed workflows.
