BU / FUNCTION DESCRIPTION





TE's Medical business unit, part of the Industrial Solutions segment, offers medical device OEMs, a complete product offering, and capability portfolio for minimally invasive, imaging, surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic devices. With more than 350 design engineers and a global presence in all key medical device hubs, we are a premier partner to the world's leading medical technology companies for their next-generation medical devices. We are experts in all aspects of device design and manufacture, from access & delivery solutions for interventional medicine; to sensors & connectors for surgical applications. Headquartered in Ireland, TE Medical has its new R&D facility set up in Bangalore and this position will join our new facility in Whitefield, Bangalore.

Job Requirements


Deliver results for process design studies, create laboratory and pilot plant prototypes, and develop detailed process specifications. Develop and distribute technical reports, flow diagrams, and specifications for assigned projects. Coordinate and execute research and development or new product development tasks in collaboration with R&D, manufacturing, or operations teams. Perform process experiments and arrange both internal and external tests to gain early insights into feasibility, safety, and potential risks of project processes. Schedule and run trials at different participating sites. Design and produce fixtures whenever necessary. Offer technical expertise to identify novel processes or areas for enhancement. Communicate regularly with suppliers, customers, and staff in manufacturing or development roles. Prepare comprehensive reports and keep thorough documentation. Review testing and failure data to find improvement opportunities. Uphold strong standards of compliance and ethical conduct. Show adaptability and a proactive approach during periods of change and uncertainty, while effectively managing transitions and building trust.

What your background should look like


BE /B. Tech or ME/ M Tech in Mechanical/ Materials/ Bio-medical Engineering.

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE




Engineering degree with 5+ years' experience in manufacturing process design and optimization in regulated environments Accomplished manufacturing/process engineer, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or medical devices It is advantageous to have knowledge of metals and plastics processing Proven ability to apply academic knowledge to professional projects Skilled in Six Sigma (DMAIC, 6-step approach), statistical analysis, and use of Minitab Innovative, motivated, organised, with excellent planning and communication skills Experience managing processes with multiple vendors and across various locations required Exposure to catheter processing preferred Strong communicator, able to coordinate teams and drive high-quality, timely project completion
