CTG is seeking to fill an RDBMS Developer position for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Design, develop, implement, and maintain database applications on RDBMS platforms including Linux, Unix, and Windows.
Write efficient, optimized code using PL/SQL, T-SQL, and DB2 for LUW environments.
Perform database modeling, design, and normalization to ensure optimal data storage and retrieval.
Develop stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views to support application functionality.
Collaborate with application developers and business analysts to translate requirements into technical specifications.
Optimize database performance through tuning and query optimization.
Conduct unit testing and participate in system integration and user acceptance testing.
Ensure data security, integrity, and availability by implementing appropriate access controls and backup strategies.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in development and production environments.
Skills:
Proficiency in PL/SQL, T-SQL, and DB2 development for LUW platforms.
Strong understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling, and normalization principles.
Experience with database performance tuning and query optimization.
Familiarity with database administration tasks such as indexing, partitioning, and replication.
Working knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows environments.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
Experience:
5+ years of hands-on experience in RDBMS development using PL/SQL, T-SQL, and DB2.
Experience designing and developing large-scale database applications in enterprise environments.
Proven track record in database performance optimization and troubleshooting.
Experience working within Agile or DevOps environments preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $53.00 to $64.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
