Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of R&D chemists; ensure timely project execution.
Design synthetic routes, optimize reaction conditions, and troubleshoot process challenges.
Conduct impurity profiling and implement practical purification and isolation techniques.
Plan and execute lab-scale to pilot-scale scale-up, ensuring process reproducibility and safety.
Facilitate technology transfer by preparing process documentation, batch records, and SOPs.
Perform analytical interpretation using NMR, MS, HPLC, GC and support method development teams.
Maintain laboratory safety, data integrity, and compliance with confidentiality protocols.
Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and project management teams for smooth execution.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry with 3-5 years relevant industry experience
OR M.Sc. in Chemistry with 12-15 years relevant experience.
Hands-on experience in agrochemical/chemical R&D and process development.
Strong understanding of reaction mechanisms, scale-up principles, and cost-effective route design.
Skills
Team leadership and project management.
Strong problem-solving and literature search capabilities (SciFinder, Reaxys).
Ability to generate clear technical documentation and communicate with cross-functional teams.
