Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled R&D Executive with expertise in PVC and thermoplastics to support design, product development, and sourcing within the building materials industry. The role focuses on developing cost-effective and innovative material solutions to meet industry and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct research and development of PVC, CPVC, and UPVC formulations.

2. Develop new products and modify existing ones based on performance and cost goals.

3. Evaluate raw materials, additives, and suppliers to meet standard specifications (ISO/ASTM).

4. Perform chemical and mechanical testing for quality assurance.

5. Collaborate with testing labs and internal departments for R&D activities.

6. Provide technical reports and updates to the Senior Engineer/Managing Director.

7. Optimize formulations and identify cost-saving opportunities through sourcing.

R&D Role Focus Areas:

1. Design: Develop and improve material formulations and processes.

2. Product: Create durable, compliant, and innovative PVC-based products.

3. Sourcing: Identify and evaluate vendors for raw materials and additives.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

1. Experience in Production/Shop Floor

2. In-depth understanding of PVC composition, additives, and thermoplastic behaviour.

3. Knowledge of LDPE, HDPE, PO foam, and glass composites.

4. Experience with chemical additives (polyol, isocyanate, blowing agents, stabilizers, pigments, etc.).

5. Familiarity with moulding processes, sound insulation materials, and thermal properties.

6. Understanding of ISO standards, quality testing (tensile strength, thermal expansion, etc.), and formulation control.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry/Polymer (Preferably).

2. Minimum 3 years of experience in R&D related to PVC or thermoplastics, preferably in the building material product segments.

Pay: ₹650,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
