Independently handle formulation, development, and optimization of skincare and cosmetic products.
Lead lab trials for creams, lotions, serums, gels, cleansers, and other skincare formats.
Conduct and interpret stability, compatibility, and performance testing.
Coordinate with raw material vendors for ingredient sourcing, samples, and technical documentation.
Liaise with third-party laboratories for product testing and validations.
Prepare, review, and maintain formulation dossiers, SOPs, and R&D documentation.
Support scale-up and pilot batch trials; provide technical input during production runs.
Troubleshoot formulation, quality, and process-related issues during development and manufacturing.
Work closely with Quality, Production, and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance with cosmetic standards.
Stay updated on new cosmetic ingredients, trends, and regulatory changes in skincare.
Skills & Competencies
Strong hands-on experience in cosmetic and skincare formulations.
In-depth knowledge of cosmetic raw materials, actives, preservatives, and emulsifiers.
Good understanding of stability protocols, GMP, and quality standards.
Excellent vendor coordination and cross-functional communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Educational Qualification
B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or a related field.
Experience
4-5 years of relevant experience
in cosmetic R&D, preferably with skincare products.
