What you will learn and contribute to An opportunity has arisen for QA engineer to join Nokia DevSIP team, engaging in various forms of testing, specifically interoperability testing between devices, standards protocol and network. In addition, automated integration testing, performance testing, soak testing, manual acceptance testing, security test, etc. You will be able to work on your own initiative and lead the testing for individual projects from creation of user stories through to pre-release QA sign off.

Job Competencies

• Experience with standard protocol of device management and testing, specifically Broadband Forum\'s TR069 standard .
• This role is to conduct end-2-end testing from device to protocol to network to server.
• Industry background: Telecom / Network / IOT industry experience would be useful

Responsibilities

• Developing test strategy both for individual projects and across the team
• Undertaking all forms of functional and non-functional testing
• Ownership of testing for individual projects including
  • Creating Test Plans
  • Creating automated test scripts
  • Creating Security Test data or Test Environment
  • Test coverage and status reporting.
  • Test Summary reports for final QA sign off.
• Working with multi-disciplinary teams for planning test execution.
• Building relationships across organizations to get the interoperability testing completed.
• Building test plans and schedules that aligns with all stakeholders and program office.
• Building test completion reports and updating various tools / web sites with the outcome.
• Communicate blockers and build a coalition with other teams to explain the issue and get the work prioritized.
• Carrying out the requires tests according to the test plans and reporting on status of the plan to your peers and leaders.
• Working within agile development teams with a BDD approach and supporting the developers to quality assure developments early, keep an eye towards improving security.
• Utilize development skills, data manipulation skills and scripting skills to engineer technical, repeatable tests.
• Report on testing progress and strategy and provide interpretation and insight on progress to inform management to take decisions.

Technologies and knowledge

• Experience with broadband forum\xe2\x80\x99s TR069 protocol.
• Experience with interoperability testing with devices, network and standards-based server.
• Experience with test strategy planning and execution.
• Understanding of 3GPP standards, specifically packet core network elements, such as PGW, SGW, SMF, and E2E call flows for 4G and 5G.
• Experience with network monitoring tools, such as Wireshark, to analyze messages transmitted and received.
• Exposure to Virtualization and Cloud technologies like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as IPv6/IPv4 and TCP and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in debugging skills from the device to TR069 communication.
• Skilled in resolving critical technical problems of customer issues.
• Analytical and creative mindset with Quality Consciousness.
• Ability to communicate/convince development teams with the feature requirements.
• Familiarity with log analysis of device UE traces, logs etc.
• Experience of software testing of web based distributed components. Open-source testing frameworks including Selenium, Serenity, REST API, JavaScript
• Familiarity with development build environment (e.g., Jenkins, Linux, Maven, AWS, Docker, SVN, Tomcat, App Servers, Kafka etc.)
• Understanding of both black box and white box test approaches.
• Understanding of Rally/ JIRA/ Bugzilla is desirable.

Experience: 3 - 5 years of relevant experience

• Ideally a degree in engineering, scientific or technical discipline
• You will have hands-on development experience, ideally exposed to all parts of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience working in agile teams.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
• Experience of designing acceptance test criteria for user stories and development tasks.
