The R&D Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic products and systems. This role involves end-to-end product development--from concept and prototype design to validation, testing, and production support. The engineer will focus on circuit design, PCB development, component selection, and performance testing to ensure reliable and innovative electronic solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development:
Design and develop new electronic products and subsystems based on project requirements.
Basic ideas and having experience in preparing the schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs using CAD/EDA tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, or OrCAD).
Participate in concept evaluation, feasibility studies, and prototyping.
Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams for system integration.
Support design validation, pre-compliance testing, and certification processes (EMI/EMC, safety, etc.).
Circuit Design & Testing:
Design and analyze analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
Conduct functional, reliability, and performance testing of circuits and assemblies.
Develop and execute test procedures, measurement setups, and validation reports.
Troubleshoot circuit issues using different electronic testing equipment like multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment.
Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance.
Documentation & Reporting:
Create and maintain technical documentation--schematics, test reports, design notes, and user manuals.
Maintain revision control and project documentation in accordance with company standards.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
Research emerging technologies and components to enhance existing or new products.
Contribute to intellectual property (patents, trade secrets) through innovative design solutions.
Support production teams with technical guidance during product transfer and scaling.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Electronics Engineering
,
Electrical Engineering
, or related field.
5 years above of experience in
electronic circuit design and
Strong knowledge of analog/digital electronics, sensors, and embedded systems.
Hands-on experience with electronic test and measurement instruments.
Proficiency in circuit simulation tools (e.g., LTSpice, Multisim) and PCB design tools.
Basic understanding of microcontrollers and firmware integration is a plus.
Good problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with
