Seeking a skilled and proactive R&D Chemist with 3 years plus experience & a strong foundation in organic chemistry to support our research and development efforts in chemical process innovation and scale-up.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting multi-step syntheses, maintaining high laboratory standards, handling pilot-scale trials, and ensuring proper documentation in line with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Key Responsibilities:
Synthesis & Process Development: ₹ Troubleshoot reaction pathways, improve yields, and scale up procedures effectively.
Lab & Pilot Plant Operations: ₹ Operate and monitor pilot skid/plant setups for trial batches and scale-up studies.
Assist in the transfer of lab-scale processes to plant scale, ensuring smooth scale-up.
Coordinate closely with the process and production teams to validate process feasibility.
Laboratory Management: ₹ Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accuracy and operational readiness.
Ensure laboratory hygiene and safety protocols are strictly followed.
Store & handle lab chemicals in accordance with HAZMAT standards and MSDS guidelines.
Conduct and optimize multiple-step organic synthesis for new and existing compounds.
Participate in the development and optimization of R&D processes for lab and pilot scale.
Documentation & Compliance: ₹ Prepare and maintain all experimental records and reports as per GLP standards.
Document reaction conditions, yields, observations, and deviations in lab notebooks or digital systems.
Support internal and external audits by ensuring all documentation is up to date.
Qualifications & Skills: ₹ M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry (mandatory)
Minimum 3 years of industrial R&D experience in chemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing
Solid understanding of organic synthesis and reaction mechanisms
Familiarity with pilot plant equipment and scale-up methodologies
Knowledge of GLP documentation, MSDS, and HAZMAT handling protocols
Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking
