Position
Rail Alignment & Track Design Engineer
Location
Chennai
Qualification
M.Tech (Transportation) (or) Equivalent in Railway Engineering from reputed University
Experience
1) 5 years of demonstrated professional experience on rail projects
2) Should have involved as a team member in completing at least one major project from concept to design approvals / commissioning
3) Knowledge of IRPWM (INDIAN RAILWAYS
4) PERMANENT WAY MANUAL), IRS (Indian Railway Standards) and / (or) other international standards
5) (AREMA - American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association, FRA-Federal Rail Road administration, DOT Department of Transportation, British Standards)
6) Design permanent way for railway in accordance with client requirements
7) Horizontal and vertical alignment design and reporting. Different modes (Light rail to freight) and different design stages (concept to detail)
8) Development of track alignment, profile, and associated grading plus drainage
9) Assessment of rail vehicle / infrastructure clearances
10) Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills
11) Excellent oral and written communication skills
12) Strong focus on client service
13) Ability to assemble plan sets meeting client expectations
Role Requirement
1) As a vital member of our team, youll have the opportunity to design horizontal and vertical track alignments.
2) Well ask you to draw from your engineering expertise to provide review of various design drawings and prepare pre-construction cost estimates for rail projects.
3) Working alongside a team, youll be responsible for creating drawings and simulations using software tools and resources supporting our clients overall project goals.
4) Also, by assisting in field inspections, monitoring construction site for contract compliance and safety parameters- youll ensure were doing better together!
