The Radiology Manager oversees the overall functioning of the radiology department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and safe diagnostic imaging services. The role involves managing radiology staff, maintaining compliance with standards, and ensuring proper equipment maintenance and utilization. The manager coordinates with physicians and other departments to provide timely imaging support for accurate diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, the position focuses on maintaining patient safety, operational efficiency, and continuous quality improvement within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the radiology department to ensure smooth workflow.* Supervise, schedule, and evaluate radiology technicians and support staff.* Implement and maintain quality assurance and radiation safety standards.* Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and functioning of all imaging equipment.* Monitor and enforce compliance with hospital policies.* Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for audits and compliance.* Manage departmental budget, control expenses, and ensure resource optimization.* Coordinate with physicians and other departments for timely diagnostic services.* Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality during imaging procedures.* Conduct training programs and continuous education for radiology staff.* Prepare performance and operational reports for hospital management.* Evaluate and recommend new technologies or equipment upgrades.* Handle vendor communication for service contracts and consumables.* Support accreditation and internal audit processes with proper documentation.*
Qualification:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Radiology, Medical Imaging Technology
Experience:
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in diagnostic imaging or radiology operations.*
