Perform and interpret imaging studies including:
X-rays
Ultrasound & Doppler
CT scans
MRI scans
Ensure high-quality imaging and accurate reporting within defined turnaround times (TAT).
Correlate radiological findings with clinical history to support diagnosis.
B. Interventional Radiology (as trained)
Perform basic interventional procedures such as FNAC, biopsies, drainage procedures, and image-guided needle aspirations.
Assist in advanced interventional radiology procedures as applicable.
C. Patient Safety & Quality Assurance
Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles.
Monitor and maintain quality standards in imaging and equipment usage.
Oversee safe handling of contrast media and manage contrast-related reactions when they occur.
Follow infection control guidelines and ensure patient comfort during procedures.
D. Documentation & Reporting
Provide clear, concise, and clinically relevant radiology reports.
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, findings, and patient records in HIS/RIS/PACS.
Communicate urgent and critical findings directly to the treating clinicians.
E. Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with surgeons, physicians, emergency teams, and other departments to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, tumor boards, and clinical discussions.
Provide guidance to technicians, junior staff, and nurses regarding imaging protocols.
F. Continuous Improvement & Compliance
Participate in departmental audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation activities (NABH).
Ensure compliance with medico-legal and statutory requirements related to radiology.
Attend CMEs and stay updated with advancements in radiology practices and technology.
3. Qualifications & Requirements
MD/DNB in Radiology from a recognized medical institution.
Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience
in diagnostic radiology.
Valid Medical Council Registration (Mandatory).
Proficiency in Ultrasound, CT, and X-ray interpretation.
MRI reporting experience preferred (training can be provided).
Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and radiology equipment handling.

Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
Excellent interpretation and reporting ability.
Good communication and coordination skills with clinical teams.
Ability to manage emergency imaging and high patient volume.
Attention to detail, precision, and clinical judgment.
Knowledge of PACS/RIS and modern radiology workflows.
5. Work Conditions
Rotational duties across Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and X-Ray units.
OPD, IPD, and emergency imaging support as per roster.
On-call responsibilities for emergency radiology cases.
Fast-paced environment requiring accuracy and quick decision-making.
