The team you'll be part of

The Radio Slice Controller provides 5g sliced services, in a cross-domain, multi-vendor and multi-technology environment. The cloud-native microservices-based system is an ingredient in the Nokia Digital Operations Center to enable round-trip operations automation.

What you will learn and contribute to

You must be a top-tier java J2EE developer with extensive experience writing code from the database up to the web tier. You are expected to understand typical web deployment architecture components and how your features interact with them (DB/Web Server/Clustering/Networking).

Your skills and experience

• Experience in product development with strong programming skills in an R&D environment for a high available system is a must.
• Experience with Cloud Native, Microservices, Containers and Virtualization Technologies like Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Helm, Envoy, Consul, Redis, gRPC and Open Source Integration.
• Expert in Design and Development using Cloud Native Principles with strong Analytical and Debugging skills.
• Must have a deep understanding of the libraries/APIs chosen for past products and be able to explain your design choices.
• Must have demonstrated examples of identifying performance problems and providing solutions to them. Knowledge of the java memory model and diagnostic tools such as those provided by the JVM is required.
• Working experience with Cloud technologies like OpenStack, and Amazon Web Services is a plus.
• Preference is given to candidates with knowledge of microservices, docker, helm, MariaDB, Cassandra, MongoDB
• Candidate should be passionate about the technologies and learning in depth within a short period of time.
• Candidate must have knowledge on CI/CD, database back up/restores and Internals of Kubernetes networking
• Knowledge on Camunda, WSO2 EI, GraphQL TMF is preferred.
• Experience in developing Web applications using React framework and node js
• Experience in web technologies - HTML5, JavaScript, typescript, GraphQL using apollo client, CSS, High charts, npm

What you will be doing

• Work within an Agile team to design and develop features for the product
• Write automated unit and integration tests that ensure product quality
• Review the peer's work, participate in team discussions
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure features and issues are addressed in a stimely manner with utmost quality.
• Work with the documentation team to ensure features are correctly documented and can be used by customers
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues of the features
• Troubleshoot customer issues in the product
