This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of Record-to-Report (R2R) processes through robust Quality Control (QC) governance. As a QC Lead, you will act as the custodian of financial controls, overseeing monthly QC testing, identifying control gaps, and driving corrective and preventive actions. You will work closely with clients, delivery teams, and governance functions to strengthen compliance, improve process quality, and support audit readiness. The role combines deep accounting expertise with risk management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership, making it critical to maintaining high standards of financial reporting and control effectiveness.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute monthly QC testing across core R2R activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close, fixed assets, inventory accounting, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure QC testing is aligned with the Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) and regularly review and enhance the control framework.
  • Identify process and control gaps, recommend additional controls, and work with delivery teams to strengthen compliance.
  • Discuss QC observations with clients, align on action plans, and oversee timely implementation of corrective measures.
  • Create, track, and manage CAPA (Corrective Action and Preventive Action) plans for all QC findings.
  • Perform detailed error, rejection, and trend analysis on a monthly basis and calibrate findings with delivery teams.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring or high-risk issues and ensure preventive actions are implemented sustainably.
  • Collaborate with internal risk and governance teams to review QC outcomes and support management assertions and sign-offs.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of QC analysts, ensuring effective workload allocation, performance management, and skill development.
  • Support internal and statutory audits by ensuring documentation, evidence, and control narratives are audit-ready and compliant with governance standards.
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Strong expertise in Record-to-Report processes with a solid understanding of accounting principles and internal control frameworks.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, risk management, and compliance within finance and accounting operations.
  • Hands-on exposure to ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, along with advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify risks, and drive structured problem-solving and process improvements.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring teams, with the ability to manage workloads and develop talent effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling confident discussions with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • 6-8 years of experience in R2R functions, including at least 3 years in a QC or control-focused role.
  • Academic background in commerce with professional qualifications such as CA, CA Inter, or MBA preferred.
  • A strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and results-oriented mindset, combined with the ability to influence continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
