Job Title: R2R Lead - Fixed Assets

Purpose of job:

The role is required to develop strong relationship with Financial Accounting based in UK and work as part of their virtual team. This role will give the right candidate an opportunity to work on a wide range of finance issues and interact with senior Finance stakeholders. The role requires a person to work on year end deliverables and ensure timely deliverable of year end audit requirement

Main opportunities/challenges for this role

Accountabilities, responsibilities, and main duties
  • Perform fixed asset accounting process (capitalisation, disposals, Intercompany assets transfer, migrations, FAR and TB reconciliations) without errors & in line with the agreed timetable with UK stakeholders.
  • Engage with the UK FA team to take on additional activities pertaining to fixed asset accounting.
  • Support in UAT of implementing fixed asset process to the new entities.
  • Act as a Subject matter expert of the process
  • Timely closure of fixed asset issues
Year end and audit support
  • Deliver the year end reporting tasks like preparation of tangible, intangible & heritage assets notes to accounts, reconciliation with BPC etc.
  • Liaison with audit team in smooth conduct of fixed assets audit.
  • Support critical projects which impacts the financial process
Information Security
  • Ensure that their workforce are aware of the information security policies and comply with them
  • Ensures that the team complies to ISO 27001 and IGA related requirements
  • Send account opening requests effectively
  • Disable accounts immediately for leavers and Absconders /on long leaves
  • Document and monitor / review access levels of his/her team
  • Provide security awareness and education to team
  • Manage Records to ensure compliance to Freedom of information act
  • Ensure incidents of their respective functions are closed within SLAs
Role specific knowledge and experience
  • Hands on experience in working on the FA module in SAP
  • Experience in managing month end accounting activities
  • Proficient in use of MS office applications
  • Ability to analyse data, convert it into information useful for decision making
  • SAP skills (Level 2) Understands and has SAP knowledge relevant to the responsibilities based on the list of activities being performed.
  • BI - Develop advanced level of knowledge to extract data from the portal to be able to analyse issues (such as Unallocated costs etc) relating to Planning and Forecasting as well as understand the logics behind the existing reports and work with the Data and Systems team to work on developing new reports or customising the existing reports.
  • Advanced MS Office skills: Ability to use Excel for consolidation and analysis. Able to create complex formulae and develop intuitive excel reports for detailed analysis
