R & D Executive ( Food Processing ) Key responsibilities
Product innovation
: Research and develop new food products, from ideation and formulation to pilot-scale testing.
Product improvement
: Modify existing product formulations to optimize cost, taste, nutrition, or quality.
Market research
: Stay informed about industry trends, consumer needs, and new technologies to drive innovation.
Cross-functional collaboration
: Work with teams like Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance to ensure product development aligns with business objectives.
Testing and analysis
: Conduct sensory analysis, product testing, and physical/chemical analysis to improve products and processes.
Compliance
: Ensure products meet food safety and quality standards, including regulations like FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, and ISO.
Required qualifications
A bachelor's or master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field is often required
.
Experience in food product development, with specific experience in certain sectors like nutraceuticals may be preferred.
Strong understanding of food science principles, formulation, and analytical chemistry.
