Job Title: Engineer - Process Optimization & Lean Manufacturing
Location: Ichhchhapore, Surat
Department: Research & Development (R&D)
Experience: Freshers or 1-3 years
Job Summary
We are seeking an innovative and analytical Process Optimization & Lean Manufacturing Engineer to drive efficiency improvements in diamond manufacturing. The role focuses on process analysis, lean implementation, and data-driven innovation to enhance productivity, reduce turnaround time, and support R&D in developing next-generation manufacturing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct time-motion studies and analyze production workflows.
Implement lean methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, VSM, and JIT.
Identify bottlenecks and optimize machine utilization to improve TAT.
Contribute to automation and IoT-based productivity monitoring.
Develop performance dashboards and analytical reports using Excel or Power BI.
Support R&D in integrating AI and data analytics for process innovation.
Train operators and production teams in lean principles and SOP compliance.
Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and basic Six Sigma concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel (mandatory); familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or AI tools preferred.
Understanding of diamond or precision manufacturing processes (preferred).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Education
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, AI, or Diamond Technology.
Diploma in Diamond Manufacturing with Lean Training (for freshers).
Compensation
Freshers: ?17,500 per month
Experienced: As per skills and value addition
