Job Description

Job Summary:

The R&D Chef is responsible for developing new recipes, improving existing menu items, standardizing food quality, and supporting innovation aligned with brand goals, cost targets, and customer preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop new recipes, menu items, and food concepts as per business requirements Standardize recipes, portion sizes, and cooking methods Conduct food trials, tastings, and product testing Improve existing recipes for taste, presentation, cost, and shelf life Create SOPs, recipe cards, and preparation manuals Coordinate with procurement for ingredient selection and cost optimization Work closely with operations and marketing teams for product launches Ensure food safety, hygiene, and FSSAI compliance Analyze customer feedback and market trends to improve products Train kitchen staff on new recipes and standards
Requirements & Skills:

Proven experience as an R&D Chef or similar role Strong knowledge of food science, ingredients, and cooking techniques Creativity with a commercial mindset Ability to standardize recipes for scale Good documentation and communication skills Knowledge of food costing and yield management Understanding of hygiene and safety standards
Qualifications:

Degree/Diploma in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (preferred) 3-6 years of experience in R&D, QSR, cloud kitchen, or central kitchen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per year
