Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we\xe2\x80\x99re looking to add a Quote Engineer will be based in Chennai, India.

The role of the Quote Engineer is to provide hands on evaluation of inbound customer documentation related to new business opportunities, structure critical customer inputs into usable BOM\xe2\x80\x99s, capture key customer RFP requirements, and generate independent VAM quotes for PCBA opportunities. Health Solutions Quote Engineers in Chennai use their technical knowledge of the BOM structure conversion to flex system/downstream applications that enable estimating or global supply chain solutions of HS products. PCBA analysis of existing flex data in combination with VAM guidelines may be incorporated into this function in order create \xe2\x80\x9cfast track\xe2\x80\x9d system designed to generate turnkey quotes.

What a typical day looks like:

• Complete the detailed analysis of customer materials inputs for each quote, ensuring correct processes, content and verify all assumptions with Business teams and operations.
• Generate structured BOM to enable materials and estimating teams downstream costing.
• Follow all necessary internal documented processes required for quotes.
• Participate in Quote Strategy and Attend Kick-Off calls.
• Detailed technical review of customer documentation.
• Create PCBA cost models for budgetary or quick turn quotes when demand requires.
• May participate in Cost Model data manipulation, Cost & Price roll-up and VAM Creation based on docs and quote strategy.
• Review any BOM and some general process inputs provided by sites for accuracy.
• Documentation of any analysis and complete archival steps post completion
• Participate in continuous improvement plans for Health Solutions Business Operations

The experience we\xe2\x80\x99re looking to add to our team:

• Requires a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 Experience in electronics and electromechanical products
• Experience in manufacturing, particularly medical products, with a broad range from PCBA, to electromechanical, and plastics/small form factor handheld devices preferred.
