Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor

(With ERP Knowledge)

to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that financial resources are used efficiently and effectively throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and cost control methods.

Duties

Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. Monitor project budgets and expenditure, ensuring adherence to financial plans. Conduct regular cost analysis and reporting to identify variances and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure financial objectives are met. Assess and manage risks associated with project costs, providing solutions to mitigate potential issues. Prepare tender documents and assist in the procurement process for subcontractors and suppliers. Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects. Provide advice on contractual matters and assist in dispute resolution as required.

Requirements

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of cost control techniques and financial management principles. Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills. Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not mandatory.
