Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (QS) and Planning Manager

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) and Planning Engineer to join our civil contracting firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling project costs, quantities, and schedules, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

- Quantity Surveying:

- Manage and control project costs, including estimating, tendering, and contract administration

- Prepare and review bills of quantities, invoices, and payment claims

- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and identify potential cost risks

- Planning Engineering:

- Develop and manage project schedules, including critical path analysis and progress monitoring

- Identify and mitigate potential delays and schedule risks

- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure project timelines are met

- Cost Control:

- Track and manage project costs, including labor, materials, and plant

- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities

- Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts

- Contract Administration:

- Manage contract documentation, including contract agreements, variations, and claims

- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions

Requirements:

- Education:

- Degree in Civil Engineering with QS certification or any course.

- Experience:

- Minimum 9-12 years of experience in quantity surveying and planning engineering, preferably in civil construction projects

- Skills:

- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, estimating, and cost control

- Excellent planning and scheduling skills, including experience with planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
