Quantity Survey (QS) Engineer

Location - Jogeshwari, Mumbai

Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary):
We are looking for an experienced QS Engineer to join our Head Office in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential civil and finishing works, with proven expertise in quantity estimation, cost control, rate analysis, billing, and contract management. The role demands strong analytical and coordination skills to ensure timely, accurate, and cost- effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

? Prepare, review, and verify BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates for residential civil and finishing projects.

? Conduct rate analysis, material reconciliation, and cost variance studies.

? Manage contracts, tendering, and procurement documentation in coordination with the project and purchase teams.

? Prepare and review client and subcontractor bills, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.

? Support project teams in budget preparation, cash flow forecasting, and cost monitoring.

? Evaluate contractor claims, variations, and change orders; assist in dispute resolution when required.

? Maintain detailed project cost reports and ensure compliance with company standards.

? Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and consultants for effective execution and control.

? Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and contractual obligations.

Key Skills & Competencies:

? Strong understanding of civil construction, finishing works, and related materials.

? Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and Quantity Estimation software.

? Excellent knowledge of contractual terms, tendering, and cost management practices.

? Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

? Effective communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.

Key Skills / Experience Required

Educational Qualification
? B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Additional Qualifications / certifications
? Exposure to high-rise construction and finishing packages.

Other skills (preferred)
? Familiarity with standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC, CPWD, or similar).

Prior experience
? Experience working with residential or mixed-use development projects.
