Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quantity Surveyor with 2 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs and ensuring that construction projects are completed within budget. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to provide accurate cost estimates, monitor expenses, and contribute to the overall financial success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to support project planning and decision-making.
Collaborate with project managers and architects to assess project requirements and develop budgets.
Monitor and track project expenses, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.
Prepare and submit tender documents, including bills of quantities and specifications.
Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify work completed against estimates.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best prices.
Manage change orders and variations, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts for ongoing projects.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management within the construction industry.
Proficient in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
