Collaborate with design teams to prepare cost estimates and feasibility studies at concept, schematic, and detailed design stages.
Develop and maintain cost plans and elemental breakdowns aligned with design evolution.
Lead value engineering exercises -- proposing materials, systems, and construction methods to achieve design intent within budget.
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and tender documentation for procurement.
Evaluate tenders and assist in contractor selection.
Construction & Administration
Administer contracts and manage cost-related communications with contractors and consultants.
Track and forecast project expenditures to maintain budget control.
Review, evaluate, and negotiate variations and claims.
Prepare and certify interim payment applications.
Post-Construction
Finalize project accounts and prepare cost reports.
Provide post-project analysis for continuous improvement and benchmarking.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field.
Minimum [X] years of experience, preferably within a design-led or multidisciplinary environment.
Strong understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, and design processes.
Excellent knowledge of cost planning, tendering, and contract administration.
Proficient in QS software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Excel) and BIM integration.
Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
