Interior Estimation & BOQ Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Prepare

detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities)

for interior projects (residential, commercial, hospitality, etc.). Study

architectural drawings, interior layouts, and specifications

to understand scope of work. Conduct

quantity take-off

for civil, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, flooring, painting, and furnishing works. Collect and analyze

material & labor rates

from vendors and contractors. Prepare

cost estimation sheets

, including materials, labor, subcontractor charges, overheads, and profit margins. Work closely with

design, procurement, and site teams

to ensure accuracy in estimates. Assist in

preparing tenders, quotations, and client proposals

. Update

rate analysis database

for different works and materials. Coordinate with vendors for

price negotiation & comparative statements

. Support project managers in

budget control and cost monitoring

.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

interior works

(civil, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, false ceiling, flooring, painting). Proficiency in

AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project / Primavera

(for BOQ preparation & estimation). Knowledge of

rate analysis, material specifications, and market rates

. Ability to

read and interpret drawings

(architectural & interior). Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical skills. Good communication and negotiation skills.

Qualification & Experience

Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. 1-2 years of experience in

interior estimation, quantity surveying, or BOQ preparation

. Experience in working with

interior contractors, consultants, or construction companies

preferred.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
