The Quantity Surveyor will support CleanTech's Business Development team by providing commercial, cost estimation, and quantity take-off support during the tendering, proposal, and pre-contract stages. The role is critical in ensuring accurate project costing, competitive pricing, risk assessment, and commercial clarity to support successful bid submissions and contract negotiations, particularly for semiconductor, gas, and chemical system projects.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Business Development team with quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and pricing inputs for tenders, proposals, and RFQs.
Analyze tender documents, technical scopes, and commercial requirements to identify cost drivers, risks, and exclusions.
Assist in preparing commercial proposals, including cost breakdowns, pricing summaries, and clarifications.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to obtain accurate inputs on materials, labor, logistics, and subcontractor costs.
Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives during the bid stage.
Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations and assist in commercial comparisons.
Maintain a database of historical project costs, rates, and benchmarks for future reference.
Assist in preparing variation estimates, change order pricing, and commercial justifications when required.
Support post-award handover to project execution teams with clear commercial documentation.
Participate in internal bid review meetings and provide commercial insights to management.
Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
Fresh Graduates welcome.
knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation techniques, and cost control principles.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with estimation or ERP tools is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and commercial awareness.
Good communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
