Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation & Budgeting
Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities (BOQ).
Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency.
Tendering & Contracts
Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts.
Prepare tender documents and evaluate contractor bids.
Cost Control & Monitoring
Track project expenses against budgets.
Identify cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
Valuation & Payments
Assess completed work and certify contractor payments.
Manage cash flow and financial reporting.
Risk Management
Identify financial and contractual risks.
Provide advice on risk mitigation strategies.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and labor laws.
Maintain accurate records for audits and dispute resolution.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in construction cost management and contract administration.
Strong knowledge of construction law, tendering, and project management.
Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, MS Project, AutoCAD).
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
