Key Responsibilities:1. Estimation & Budgeting
Prepare detailed
BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
and
cost estimates
based on drawings, scope, and specifications.
Assist in preparing project budgets and ensure alignment with client requirements and company margins.
Conduct rate analysis for various interior, civil, and MEP items.
2. Tendering & Procurement
Float tenders, analyze quotations, and assist in vendor/subcontractor selection.
Negotiate prices and terms to achieve optimal cost efficiency.
Prepare comparative statements and finalize purchase/work orders in coordination with the procurement team.
3. Cost Control & Monitoring
Track project costs versus budget and highlight variances to the management.
Prepare periodic cost reports and forecasts.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
4. Billing & Documentation
Prepare and verify
contractor bills
,
client invoices
, and
variation claims
.
Certify work progress and coordinate with site and design teams for measurement validation.
Maintain complete records of project-related financial documents.
5. Contract & Commercial Management
Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, terms, and conditions.
Manage
change orders
,
claims
, and
final account settlements
.
Support project close-out with reconciliation of materials, quantities, and payments.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
Experience:
5-10 years of experience in
interior fit-out quantity surveying
, with at least
3 years in corporate office/commercial projects
.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in
AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project
, and QS software tools.
Strong knowledge of
interior finishes, joinery, furniture, and MEP coordination
.
Other Skills:
Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
Detail-oriented with strong numerical and documentation accuracy.
Effective communication and coordination with site, design, and procurement teams.
Preferred Background:
Experience with
corporate office interiors

IT/ITES facilities
, or
commercial fit-out projects
.
Exposure to
turnkey / design-build projects
.
Knowledge of
cost benchmarking and market rate analysis
