Role Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic project team. This role will be pivotal in managing cost estimation, budgeting, and billing for a variety of civil construction projects. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of construction materials and processes, and proficiency in preparing accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
Roles & Responsibilities:
Accurately measure and calculate material and labor quantities from drawings and site measurements.
Perform detailed material take-offs to ensure precise quantification.
Develop cost estimates and budgets, considering materials, labor, equipment, and contingencies.
Conduct rate analysis to ensure cost-effectiveness and monitor project costs.
Prepare and process interim and final payment certificates.
Review and verify contractor bills for accuracy and compliance.
Conduct site visits to verify progress and resolve discrepancies.
Create and maintain detailed BOQs aligned with project specifications.
Maintain meticulous cost records and project documentation.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation, and budgeting for civil construction projects.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Expertise in preparing and analyzing BOQs, rate analysis, and material take-offs.
Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD, MS Excel, Google Workspace, and any estimation software.
