The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. The role involves cost estimation, preparation of BOQs, tendering, contract administration, cost control, and ensuring that project costs are within budget while maintaining quality and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare
estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and cost plans
based on drawings and specifications.
Conduct
quantity take-offs
and prepare rate analyses for materials, labor, and equipment.
Participate in
tendering processes

Manage
contract documents
including variations, claims, and progress payments.
Monitor project budgets
, control expenses, and provide regular cost reports to management.
Evaluate and certify
contractor bills
and ensure accuracy in payment recommendations.
Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and site teams for cost-related matters.
Support in
value engineering
to achieve cost efficiency without compromising quality.
Maintain records of all
project financial transactions and documentation

Ensure compliance with
contractual terms, industry standards, and company policies

Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in
Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering
, or related field.
5-15 years
of experience in quantity surveying or cost management in the construction/PMC industry.
Strong knowledge of
construction methods, materials, and contracts.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity surveying software.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
