Key Responsibilities
1. Estimation & Cost Planning
Prepare
detailed cost estimates
for interior works including:
Civil & finishing works
Joinery, modular furniture & custom carpentry
False ceiling, flooring, wall finishes
MEP coordination (interior scope)
Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
Prepare
pre-tender budgets
, cost plans, and value engineering proposals.
Maintain historical cost data and benchmark rates.
2. BOQ & Tendering
Prepare accurate
Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
.
Float enquiries, evaluate vendor quotations, and prepare
comparative statements
.
Assist procurement team in vendor finalization and rate negotiations.
Clarify scope, exclusions, and specifications with vendors and subcontractors.
3. Billing & Commercial Control
Prepare
RA bills
, interim valuations, and final bills.
Verify subcontractor bills and material invoices.
Track variations, change orders, and additional works.
Monitor
budget vs actual costs
and highlight cost overruns proactively.
4. Contract & Documentation
Assist in drafting and reviewing:
Work orders
Subcontract agreements
Payment terms and milestones
Maintain complete commercial documentation for audits and handover.
5. Site Coordination
Coordinate with
site engineers, project managers, and designers
.
Conduct joint measurements and site verifications.
Support site teams with cost clarifications and material quantity checks.
6. Reporting & MIS
Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and project profitability statements.
Provide weekly and monthly MIS reports to management.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of
interior materials, finishes, and construction methods
Proficiency in:
MS Excel (advanced)
AutoCAD (measurement take-offs)
Estimation software (if applicable)
Understanding of interior BOQs, specifications, and drawings
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Clear communication with internal teams and vendors
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree / Diploma in:
Quantity Surveying
Civil Engineering
Construction Management
Certification in QS or Cost Management is an advantage
